Set Up POP
POP is a process that transfers your e-mail messages from our servers to your computer’s hard drive. You can access your messages using an e-mail program installed on your computer. POP allows you to:
- Use the e-mail software currently installed on your computer
- Connect faster than the Webmail option
- Have unlimited storage
- Compose and review messages while not connected to the Internet
- Send messages in rich text, using features like bold and underline
Setting up POP is easy to do.
If you need help to set up your POP e-mail settings, use our POP Set-Up Wizard, or view our POP3 E-Mail Client Set Up Instructions.
For optimal performance, you should set your current e-mail software to check for new messages every five minutes. For information on how to configure your e-mail client to check for e-mail more frequently, visit our FAQ section.
With POP, you have the flexibility to leave messages on our server so that you can access your e- mail while traveling. If you choose to use this feature by enabling this setting, you will need to closely monitor your storage and delete messages you no longer need or purchase additional storage.
